Stage signs
For some reason, most of the changes actually involve less exclamation marks. Except for the Game Over sign:




As a side note, the "PASSWORD OK" and "PASSWORD ERROR" signs were originally in Japanese (it seems obvious, but remember how the Japanese love English, as indicated by the rest of the signs in the game).

 

Character balance
In "Fill in the Blanks", the number of boxes were changed around to fit the words(ie. Level 1 in the Japanese version is always two boxes), the pictures changed around levels, and even one case of replacement.

Checkout
The checkmark in "Connect the Dots" was originally a circle (in Japan, a circle is used to signify "correct", just like a checkmark in other countries):

 

The gold treasure
Yet more "baba" censoring, this time in Level 3 of "Safecracker":

 

Painless toast
When you catch the toast in "Toaster Jam", a little "ouch" was removed from the US version:
