The baseball game commentary was dubbed into English and had the music removed (it's still in the Batting Practice minigame). Here's a sampler:

Random note: in the JP version, different sound effects that blended with the commentary played depending on whether you pass or fail a microgame. This wasn't redone for the US release.

Music Loop
The piece of music that plays after the boss sign and the start of Basic Training is different; in the Japanese version, the music starts over, but in the US version, it picks up where it left:

Taxi Sonata: JPN/US

The piece of music played after the boss picks up where it left, so it's different as well.
